Quality control of folding cartons for pharmaceutical products

An international pharmaceutical group reported regular disruptions to the folding carton packaging processes at one of its sites in Germany. During a workshop, key issues were examined and assessed in collaboration with staff from the packaging operation, engineering, the packaging department and Quality Assurance. Critical folding carton parameters were identified, measurable checkpoints defined, and target values and tolerances established.
